The Guardian is a panel created for "CHE STORIA! Milano sfoglia l'arte Tra le pagine della scienza" project, promoted by Pleiadi together with Museo di Storia Naturale di Milano. This initiative aims to raise young people's awareness towards the world of natural sciences through the language of art.

The piece was born by reinterpreting scientistic illustrations found in two historical volumes: "I Minerali" by Ettore Artini (1914) and "Le Farfalle. Storia naturale, classificazione ed iconografia dei principali Lepidotteri d'Italia" by Ferdinando Sordelli (1885).

The project celebrates the precision and esthetic harmony of scientific illustrations. The Guardian seek inspiration from the poetry of scientific illustrations, turning them into a magical, surreal and bizarre figure. At the moment the installations is hosted by Biblioteca Niguarda in Milan.
