Ishtar is the Mesopotamian goddess of love, sex, war, chaos, and impulsive decisions. A figure who answered to no one, neither gods nort mortals.

In this project, the deity is transformed into an articulated paper puppet brought to life with paper fasteners and animated in stop-motion. The piece was born from a desire to reinterpret the past through play, dismantling myths only to set them back in motion. An approach that shows how the past can be alive and dynamic, turning historical study into a creative experience and continuous discovery.

The animation was created in collaboration with Fabio Quattrocolo.
