Ceramic work created for the solo exhibition Genius Loci, held at the Calice D'oro in Costa Paradiso, Gallura, Sardinia.

The subject is inspired by the glass paste necklace found in 1937 at the Funtana Noa necropolis in Olbia. The artifact, dated between 400 and 300 BC, was found around the neck of a deceased woman as the central element of her funeral offerings.

The original function of the necklace was apotropaic: it served to defend the soul of the deceased from evil spirits. This plate is intended as a tribute to one of those ancient glass beads and, at the same time, to the Greek mythological hero.
