The mural was created by Rosmunda<\/strong> as part of the Derive<\/strong> festival, a public art project in rural spaces curated by Silvia Scardapane<\/strong> of Inward<\/strong>.

The work draws inspiration from local legends tied to Villa Chioso<\/strong>, where myth speaks of nocturnal apparitions and dancing girls who, in the eyes of strangers, would transform into black cats. This tale evokes the presence of the masche<\/strong> (mysterious shapeshifting figures from local folklore), suspended between dream and mystery.

The mural pays homage to this dreamlike suggestion by placing the viewer in the role of the outside observer: the cats<\/strong> depicted have limbs of humanoid form, a detail that hints at their true magical nature and reminds us that, in this nocturnal vision, nothing is quite what it seems.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/section>
