On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the events of July 7, 1944, in Carrara<\/strong>, Rosmunda<\/strong> created a commemorative poster to pay tribute to a group of women who, with extraordinary courage, opposed the German order to evacuate the city.

On July 7 of that year, united by the cry \" Don't abandon the city<\/strong>\" the women of Carrara took to the streets, overturning their food baskets and openly defying the Nazi-Fascist command. Despite the threat of machine guns, their collective determination<\/strong> succeeded in blocking the evacuation order to Sala Baganza, forcing the Germans to suspend the decree.

This poster is part of a collaborative project involving several female artists from Carrara<\/strong>, each committed to honoring the protagonists of that historic uprising. Remembering this story today means celebrating the anti-fascist and feminist values<\/strong> rooted in the territory, born out of a sense of responsibility towards one's community.

In an era marked by historical uncertainty, Rosmunda's work reminds us that defending freedom can never be taken for granted<\/strong> and that honoring the courage of these women means committing ourselves daily to protecting the rights we have won. July 7, 1944 \u2014 July 7, 2024<\/strong>: a memory that becomes an image to continue the fight.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/section>
