Tormento, cavallo contento is a mural created by Rosmunda during the Equidistanze artist residency, promoted by the Magazzeno Art Gallery in Ravenna.
The work is part of the project Animalía o bestiario rurale (Animalía or rural bestiary), which explores the relationship between man and nature in agricultural spaces. On the facade of a house nestled in the Ravenna countryside, a bucking horse, sunflowers, and a small bird celebrate the biodiversity and vitality of the rural landscape.
The protagonist, Tormento, is a free and happy horse that expresses its joy of life through movement. The project aims to highlight how in rural areas, much more than in cities, it is still possible to perceive the close connection between humanity and the animal and plant world, a bond that the artist experienced firsthand during his residency.
